great triplog, sir. Pics were awseome. Especially the last bunch of forests and plains. I am a native of southern karnataka and I have been wanting to do such trips since ages but being a noob, i was never able to gather enough courage to even try such things. Besides, more importantly, i don't have any of the safety gear (except for the helmet of course). And to top that none of my friends think it would be worth the effort. Can you tell me the approx cost that you had to bear during this trip? I mean right from the point when you left your home and to the point when you reached back home.
And AFAIK, the middle part of the stretch of road from B'lore to Mumbai is a naxal-dacoit prone region right? Because on all my trips to b'lore (by train) there always used to be a stretch where the train ran non-stop at max possible speeds with all the doors and windows closed and policemen guarding the entry points of compartments.I don't know if the route is same as NH4's but still...
All i'm asking is doesn't it freak you out that while riding in the night, if you stop in between, someone might come out of the woods and rob you or something like that?
If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough - Albert Einstein

I think i know less than what you think i know.

        Thanks a lot

Approximate cost for the trip was around 3-3.5 K,Including fuel, food and stay.

The Naxal and dacoit thing is new to me,never heard of it.Are you making this story to scare the people around here .Just kidding,I am not aware of this thing.

Many Mumbai XBHPians has done Mumbai - Bangy via NH4..solo or with the group, atleast they never encountered any naxals or naxal related story.

Go burn the rubber, don't worry about dacoits. They dont loot bikers

        Cheers

Awesome bro! You are one hell of a photographer! Reminds me my days back in Hubli. Lived there for 5yrs(until my 9th std). Do check the yellapur road. Smooth road surrounded by green and nice climate makes it the perfect road for biking. Also try goin to murudeshwar and OM beach. I guess you would have gone to these places already...

Major expense was of Fuel,Staying and eating options depends on you.
In Tarkarli we stayed for 300/2 per night AFAIR..and in uduppi i stayed in a hotel for 80 buks and free food at Radha Krishna temple :P.

Anyway i realised later that it should be 4.5K to be presice rather than 3.5K .
