Hi friends,

I am Planning to ride through trans himalayan road. from sikkim to Ladakh
I thought it will be nice to have place where every one who is traveling through majestic himalaya. if they can share there experiences and knowledge on this thread so it will be easy for other traveller to get information on the road condition, weather, and new unexplored places and if there is any place to stay or food.

I just found out road between Srinagar and leh is opened on 14th of april 2010.

@Kurt: I know the roads till Kaza/ Losar is open, but what about past that point; say Kunzul Pass, Batal and most importantly Chandratal? Any updates at all?

Kunzum not open, as far as updates from last week go. It normally opens up 20-25 days after Rohtang.

Roads condition in Sikkim

some roads are closed in between Singtam and Mangan. and changu and nathula pass due to landslide
