A beautiful love story! The pics and the story went hand-in-hand.

P.S.: How is manan bhai doing now? I hope he is feeling better.
All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. E. Lawrence

Captain Ravee, welcome to xBhp. In this outfit, you will find the true spirit of a biker to identify with as it is a place where biking is the only dharma transcending all other aspects of life. There is no big, no small, no good, no evil...... only biking.

I loved your log and thank you for your complements. I am also a fan of your spirit of riding and I would say that you too are a good biker and can surprise many. It was difficult to keep up with you on the stretch of Ambala to Delhi when you led the way! Both Sunny on the Busa and I were working very hard to keep pace.

Sunny, you have metamorphosed into a picture story teller! When I saw the pics during the trip on your "powerful" HPi7, I could never imagine that this was a precursor to such a wonderful story! - You do not cease to surprise me and this keeps me motivated to get more and more of your wonderful company.

Brigadier Manan Chaturvedi, you were a revelation during the trip. Rarely do I meet a person personified by his simplicity in interaction yet with a high degree of sophistication in his ability. I enjoyed every moment of being with you. I am sure you will go far in life and I wish success to you all the way. It was an honor to ride besides you and I thank you for stopping over each time I wanted to do so.

Finally, I look forward to riding besides all of you ... again and hopefully soon.
Life is like riding a bike. It is impossible to maintain your balance while standing still.

              Hi

Its always an eagerly awaited affair whenever someone goes for a ride, and with Sunny and Manan along, its always the excitement which is revealed only through extraordinary pictures. This time 2 more gentlemen(Anurag Sir & Captain Ravee) accompanied them in the trip and Sunny made sure that the lens gets every bit of them too.
I am sure, every head must be wondering, wish I could also join them.
Thank you guys for a lovely experience.
              Cheers.

Dear Fellow Riders of xbhp, on this amazing journey called Life,

                Just to introduce myself,

I am Lt Col J Georgg, the humble rider of the two extra wheels on this wonderful travel to the hills, the 4 wheeled Stud Stallion called Pahero !!

Sunny hope I have your permission of speaking about a 4 wheeler on xbhp..Knowing you, I assume Permission granted,

I made one of my regular calls to a very dear friend, the Gentleman you all are already acquainted with by the name, Capt Ravee.

It was on a quirk, that I mentioned that life needed a little spicing up, and prompt as he is always, out popped his answer, " Delhi aaja, me and some friends of mine are going on this biking trip to Shimla via Kasauli.." The Time was 0030 hrs, the location Marine Drive, and the tide coming in.... The answer came as another tide..."OK, I'm coming..!!" This was summed up by an ever encouraging " Guru, Aaja maza aayega..!! "

And so, at 0100 hrs on 20 May, I made my booking and caught the flight out the same evening. Meeting up with Ravee is always a pleasure.

Little did I know, that I would be meeting some very intrepid bikers and Gentlemen who were excellent companions, on this little ride into the hills.
These folks are now my newest friends. And I take the liberty of speaking about them,

                Well firstly,

                Ravee,

Many thanx Buddy, for the invite and lovely suggestion, it has left me rejuvenated and cleared the mist in my head.. Many thanx too for the very kind words, you make me want to live upto high standards.. You also gave me the opportunity to meet some very good folks and bikers, not to forget the ride together..His handling of his Intruder is legendary. I Guess, the Beast repays his Master for the care, patience and service rendered everyday. For this Gentleman, Speed by no means replaces safety. Whether four wheels or two. He is as safe as they come !!

Excellent Buddy, look fwd to more Good times..

A Gentleman fit to be an Officer !!

                Sunny,
Zen Biker-Photographer.. As good as they come. A man of very mild mannerisms (shh..) and friendly disposition. Your visual documentation and critical view to the angles and approach to photography made this an avidly followed thread.. A natural when it comes to biking, his handling of his Busa was phenomenal.. Reminded me of one Rossi, bearded ofcourse.

                Anurag,

                Man on a mission.

                Me,

Must be the first comments about a mean machine other than a bike, on this site. Blasphemy, Sacrilege..?! Hope not.
PS - My apologies for not biking this time,

And last not the least, for all you dudes out there..on xbhp,

@ Col Georgg: Lovely to hear your side of the story too, albeit at a strain to our eyes (because of the red font!). Thanks for sharing.

And yes, welcome to the family.

@ Col Georgg: It was really a pleasure reading all what you said and seeing you mix up with like minded people seamlessly, riding along with these few men is one awesome feeling that one can really share and when one reads through the lines that you have written and what manan bro described the feeling of closeness can be felt.

We wish to meet you sometime when you will be delhi on a large get-to-gether that happens here.

Col, At the outset, apologies for missing acknowledgements to you in my post regarding the trip. You were fun to be with and I guess you take the cake being the cooler dude of the lot! I loved the late night interactions, jokes and philosophical discussions with yourself and Ravee.

Get a bike Col and ride along.. it is always fun to do so. Did you know that there are hyperactive xBhp groups all over India including amchi Mumbai. On 16th, there were close to 51 bikers who went on a ride there.

                            Cheers and looking forward

Welcome aboard Col! It is a great feeling to see person from the Indian Army in the biking community. A very nice, short and crisp review of the ride Col. Now I know how and why Pajero was ahead of the bikes Welcome again Col.!!!
