    A little birdie (ok! not so little!) told DK about the threads about Leh.
    His reaction to Inder "losing his Biking Virginity" -
    "HOLY SHIT!!! WTF was that. Now it will be difficult to concentrate on road :P Update this also on thread. Thonduk is a food dish."

      We are at manali, max 5 days more to get HOME'ed after gettin LEH'ed some 10 days back

      can sumone update about DK's plan?

          I was thinking more on the lines of a 'Polarisation Filter'. Wouldn't that have a similar effect. Lesser reflections, greener greenery, Bluer sky, clearer waters... would be great accompaniment to the SLR..

                  SMS #1 from MG: "Who is this? Sorry contact list nt working? Doing good, stuck at Kaza, no petrol" (He didn't have my number in his mobile )
                  SMS #2 from MG: "Ok. Till now its fine. Tough days are going to start now"

                        No they arent, I guess heading to Manali was a sensible decision with the route they had planned...but would like to knmow why do you think otherwise? especially since you never got to see that route

                          Not that the route is bad..but bcoz now they might have to return back to chandigarh and take the detour to srinagar .. which has cost them 2 days.

                            just came back from leh to manali. ananth and I I managed this section two days ago. roads are in pretty bad shape, especially barlachala. would be advisable to do the srinagar stretch for the next 5-10 days and then attempt the manali route. definitely bikable but in pretty bad shape.

                              Update on DK Bhau and MG -

                              They have reached back to Rampur,Heading to Leh via Srinagar route.As Manali-Leh highway is in pretty bad shape and its still snowing out there i guess.

                              So tomorrow they will be Doing Rampur - Pathankot.

                                Congrats man.From what we heard first hand reports its pretty tough out there & Baralachla being closed most of the time results in wastage of days.

                                since we don't have time on hand ,decided to detour & ride via Srinagar.
