as decided riders started gathering at designated place Akshardham petrol pump.

reached Haridwar well on time @ 9.30, and crossed Rishikesh Bypass by 10.30 towards first night halt at Uttarkashi which is 410kms from Delhi.
reached Uttarkashi at 17.00, went to market for last minute purchases like medicines etc..

Hi Guys ! I reached Uttarkashi via different route in 2 days. I satrted from Chandigarh. I reached via Simla-Fagu- Kharapather-Hatkoti-Mori-Porula-Nogoan-barkot-Dharasu-Uttarkashi. This route is having amazing landscapes. So clicked a lot. Here are some for you

2nd day we all reached Dharali and checked our camping stuff.. kept extra baggage at hotel and loaded everything in taxi... left Dharali for Gangotri town by 10.30...

reached Gangotri town around 12.00, again checked our trek stuff, equiptments... our Guide and porters took their responsibilities and divided the load... started trek around 1.00 pm for our first acclimatization 2 kms ahead with our youngest trekker "Vicky" 16yrs old...
the trek was thru lush green terrain, with Bhoj patra trees all around... dont underestimate the steep...http://picasaweb.google.com/tilkusoni
