    First visit to North Bengal

    After almost 3 months I am back on xbhp, though I was a silent watcher here after my Grand ride with Bewda aka beruoist. My Leh trip canceled due to work reasons and I was quite disappointed as my fellow riders were riding to Heaven and I was sitting in office. The irritation turned to a itch to ride and I decided to visit the Northern gateway of West Bengal. One of my college buddy was staying in Siliguri who assured me to make this journey worthwhile.

        Hey Sheelpriye by mistake I rode some 5-6 kms towards your place, missed the Dalkhola crossing and ran over the flyover

        The route I followed ...Kalyani-Ranaghat-Krishnanagar-Murshidabad-Farakka-Malda-Raiganj-Dalkhola-Islampur-Bagdogra-Siliguri



        Total distance 1300kms approximately.

        Kalyani to Dalkhola - NH34

        Dalkhola to Siliguri - NH31

                  still miss the green sevok,roads are good back then,now also it seems they are working on it.it was used to open our bikes gas and to test our steeds top speed when we used to come down from gangtok,.

                          Ya thats a good time on roads for some time for sure .. but the rains were already in the hills and the landslides made my journey incomplete.

                          Yes Doc. roads are excellent except the landslides which made my journey incomplete. Had plans to visit Bindu, but the road was blocked from past 48 hours and I had to change my route to the jungles. It was a 3 day tour.
