    Slowly slowly going through all the threads.

    Finished all seven days of reading and I must confess that even though there are a flurry of Leh threads this season in xBhp, every thread has a different experience to share and ours will also be very different from the rest of the thread.

    Liked the gull pictures(Pity that I didn't have a lens to capture them) and the Thiksey Monastery shot.

    My ride partner darkknight also tasted it and he found it to be salty and we both were shocked. This is one thing which I never knew before this trip.

    I first heard bikes. Then I turned to the approaching road from my tent perched on top to the right. I knew that you guys were coming and I was keeping a lookout for you. Then I saw you guys ride in and ride past. And I think it was around that time when the sun was going down... around 1900 hours and there was still daylight. And you guys were not carrying luggage. I guessed that you would not be staying the night. I was too tired to run down at that altitude.

    Yes, I keep tasting high altitude spring water, lake water etc... And guess what it tastes like... it did NOT taste like mineral water. It was Salty!

    Unpolluted, unadulterated indeed, with Coca Cola bottles floating in it and other garbage thrown in by tourists visiting the pristine spot! But I did not want to photograph those.

    @Jonak: At places like those (Leh/ Spiti), one doesn't need a CPL or an GND; it's all so naturally blue and vibrant!

    "Today's ride was beautiful. Most of the road was good surprisingly for a change. It de-stresses the mind as I did not have to constantly think about the rocks on the road, the potholes, the mud and water. I could really soak up the beauty of nature and enjoy the ride.

    I had only heard about the Blue Pangong Lake and seen some pictures. But for blue, this is the bluest it can get. Nothing gets bluer than this. And when you get here, it is difficult to imagine which planet you are on. This place does not look like from this planet. Totally barren with desert like conditions, not a blade of grass, and this huge beautiful blue lake that completely takes you by surprise. It is total bliss to be here."

    She even demonstrated to us the difference in the cries of the Gulls at Pangong and those in the Mediterranean! And at her demo, the Gulls there took immediate flight!
