Tremendous
Awesome man. It was great you see that your partner never curses for biking
rather she enjoyed with as a pillion. Riding a bike for 1000 miles, that too with your dear to whom you want share all in your life.
Hope you had the pleasures at a time.
I wish my girl should read this thread.

Thank you Chetta - I sat on a GS - it was took big on me - but I can ride. But didnt want to take that big risk on a maiden ride. She was pretty much comfortable - didnt complain even though she had to holdthe tent and sleeping bag. Nextime will try to take a bigger bike - this was more of a trial run to how how is touring in USOriginally posted by Haroon View PostWow Rocky. The ride & pics look amazing. Adi-poli! I am tuned in.
Have a dream- Believe in it and work towards it. It happens.
Congrats on many fronts to you. The marriage, the ride etc. Also congrats to your wife on her maiden trip. I know how it feels to ride with your better half after my wife also did her maiden trip in Europe. Maybe next time try a bike with a top box, so you get additional storage space and wife will have a back support and will be more reassuring for her
. Also worth investing in a not too expensive Chatterbox HJC50 intercom (or if you wish a more expensive bluetooth set)- makes it more enjoyable when you can constantly converse with your partner on the ride.
True, the guys at ADV are just amazing when it comes to guidance. Ride safe & wish you many many more miles of safe & enjoyable riding.
. Yeah intercom is a nice idea.

! Your trip has boosted my inspiration towards touring! And wish you a happy married life
.
The other bike is HD. With bike they had given a puncture kit and road side assistance no in case of any issues. See sporty rentals online.Originally posted by cbz xtreme View Post@Rockkyyy: First of Wish you a happy married life.
Second. The road in fog is just mind blowing. <applause>
The Fz looks so beautiful. How much was the rent..? Were you given spare kits also..?
In one pic, there was another couple in another bike. Can you tell what bike it is..?
(my crude guess MT).
Do shower us with some more pics.
Yeah man its awesome its a dream on curves. I wish I was solo - hope my wife is not reading it. he he - she is still getting used to leaningOriginally posted by archistar View PostGood to see you riding there Ashwin, FZ is one of my personal fav.Just loved your ride there, hope you are planning for few more as you have the license now
quite nervous when i do that.
From ZMA to FZ6 - the excitement is much more. But I some how felt refinement is not that great.Originally posted by Makky View PostThe greenery and the mist remind me of my hometown-Sakaleshpur in Karnataka.
The photos are very good. Hope, your ride on FZ6 was exciting
. The bike you are talking about is a Harley Davidson. Waiting for more, mate.

Yeah here its quite easy , your Indian license and a Plastic Card is good enough to get a bike. I have toured on FZ16 - but this is much lesser than that.Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostCongrats Rocky.

Great stuff! Congrats to you both for a nice ride! Great pics there as well!
We have just got a Scalarider G4 pair set for us and it works phenomenally well inter-bike as well. Even at speeds of 150kmph we can hear each other (though anot as clearly as at speeds of 100 kmph or so). Look around for a pair, it will go a long way in creating a more memorable experience, even if its just between rider - pillion.

Fanatstic ride Ashwin...loved your pic of the bird with that lantern(correct me if Iam wrong)..
Great to know that even your better half supports and loves touring...
It is very tough to find some-one who is a good pillion...
looking forward for more pics...
PS: Is it necessary to get an US 2-wheeler license to ride a bike or an Indian or International license will do?Hammer the racetrack. Pace yourself on the street.

Thank you and yeah wish they bring this in. Its a great tool for touring.Originally posted by simba_smiles View Post@Rockkyyy...
Fantastic narration, and lovely photos doing the vivid story telling alongside.
The red FZ sure looks stunning, with all the right curves at the right places!
Yamaha would do India a huge favour should they launch this bike officially here.
.....Simba
And as per the Rental guy its much more refined and good for touring than 650R as per his/customers experience.
Yamaha - you can bring this one - are you guys hearing ?
