Hi Deep!Originally posted by desideep View PostWell generally if your bullet is well maintained it does not give you no problems.
And beleive me those vibrations... man they are the best thing i think you dont need to look for a massage parlour when you get places.
so i will stand up for the person choice and comfort.
Though Akshay you have made a great choice
Very rightly said, +1 on that.

zma's are so rare in my town...while 220cc pulsars are there
..
@desi: well said yaara ! and believe me ,I am not experiencing so called vibrations etc in my bullet electra - may be because of the handle weights and coz of good shock and rear gas shocks.
.but ..re ,,, I tried a 170kms trip with my bull electra 4s.mid way during returning clutch cable broken :x .and I dont have a toolkit with me !.some how made it to Highway side worshop.

the best bike has to be a bull...Std or Machismo. Thunderbird is good for cruising but hilly terrain calls for the other 2.
I will put ZMA on number 2. Comfortable riding position. Enough power to conquer any hilly terrain. + the chances of facing a technical slag is very less in zma compared to 220 although 220 is a better bike on regular roads...never heard of anyone taking them to the mountains...
180 classic is the 3rd best..Anup Abraham

Agreed! Parts are not so easily available in rural areas. But, it is not very frequent that you need a spare part for a Karizma. Did you ever see a Zma engine seize?? The engine is so reliable. Show me one good other bike that is as reliable as a Zma engine in extreme conditions.Originally posted by prakash_mvpa View Postand finding spares a very tough think for a indian bike?(ZMA)
BTW ,I have nothing against ZMA's.but atleast having ownership in rural towns etc in this HH ZMA bike will be difficult
ops:
I did lot of turing with my Zma and just completed 27000 km. It never gave me any problem till now. I had two accidents, but could ride the bike without any problem back to the city. We have many xbhp friends who had accident with a Zma (not very serious) but could safely reach the city without any problem.
The reliability, relaxed and refined engine, excellent power for high-speed cruising, relaxed riding position, excellent stabilty at high speeds, makes this bike the best touring bike currently available in India.
The above does not mean, other bikes are not tourers, but Zma is the best of the lot.Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 10-01-2008, 01:17 AM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

@ravi-saheb :well ,zma is a jap bike in reliability thingies and agreed !.
but remember those bullets in country side in tamil nadu ,karnatak where the same bull(with desi decoration works !
) is used for decades and treats like a family member(personally experienced that!).30 year bull which is as good as new -thx to the father ,son and grand son using the same machine!this is so common in rural tamil nadu.no zma can come to this places where bullet is a religion
.the "gyaan" rural people will tell you - "if you work a 50 year old bull - it can be made easily to be as good as brand new !" bulls and ambies are famous for that !
.
and ZMA's have still dont have their critical components manufactured here in India.and I hope if they will implement that ,then ZMA will be easy to maintain and good availability of engine side spares.

@Prakash: i dont understand why the hell did u start this discussion where u yourself are in to prove that bull is better than zma or whatever...dude a bike is a bike...personally i will vouch for either a tbird or a zma. Problems in bull will be difficult to solve and reliability is a major concern...zma is very reliable and parts are available. zma been there for almost a decade and its ur problem if ur village or whatever lacks a HH service station..dude HH is like Maruti u find it where ever u go...
Bull although has proven itself for decades it still has the reliability factor that persist.Anup Abraham

Boss..whatever you just mentioned was basically due to the fact that ppl had bought it say around 20-30 years ago and since then they are maintaining it...but if you see some years down the line it would get obsolete...Originally posted by prakash_mvpa View Postbut remember those bullets in country side in tamil nadu ,karnatak where the same bull(with desi decoration works !

But, if ppl start using the ZMA...then this whole tradition thing(father, son and grandson thing) would also be implemented here..!!
on the other hand, regarding the maintenance problems of the ZMA.....regular servicing meaning every 2 weeks is not required(which is not the case with the bull.....i presume u also know it very well)...!! And now coming to the spare parts problem.....i dont think so everytime you go in for servicing(that too in 2 months) you would require to change one or the other part...!!
I hope i was able to clarify..
