      very ambitious my friend --

      guwahati-bomdila = difficult in a day but achievable - have to leave guwahati around 5 am
      bomdila tawang = doable depending on snow at sela.

      no roads exists as soon as you leave balipada which is 27 kms from tezpur junction

      beyond bhalukpong you will continuosly encounter knee deep slush right till you get down from sela pass to other side

      I am not sure but pretty confident that sela would be closed to civilian vehicles & more so for two wheelers for the dates mentioned by you

      donot treat this stretch as you would treat leh-ladakh --this one is much severe in terms of all conditions

      tawang-tezpur == not possible in a day.break this into 2 days.

      other thing related to assam is ok.

      Again cherrapunji & mawsynram fall on two different routes.you cannot do it in a single day & yet plan to stay at cherra.

      instead skip mawsynram & do only cherra & surroundings which are a plenty.

      Have done a 22 day trip a month back so everything mentioned here is about recent conditions only

        I am from Guwahati. Haven't done Tawang till now coz me and my bike's in Mysore past 3n1/2 yrs. But I'll be in Guwahati for the whole of January (without bike). PM me if you need any help.
        The plan till Tawang is fine. But Tawang to Tezpur in a day will be difficult. Again Cherrapunji and Mowsynram is quite far. You can easily do Shillong-Cherranpunjee- Guwahati in a day. The distance seems to be quite less but the roads aren't that cooperative! Guwahati to shillong is 100 kms but you need more than 3 hours.
        Lastly, you'll need Inner Line Permit to enter Arunachal. You can get it from the offices in Guwahati/Tezpur. If you are a Gazetted Govt official, u can simply flash your ID. BTW, how many of you doing this trip? How many bikes?

                as of now sela is open

                It was crossed over by pankaj trivedi fro mumbai & surprisingly very less snow--lesser than what we encountered towards the end of october

                    cherrapunji and mawsynram is possible in 1 day if one leaves shillong at morning 6 and goes to mawsynram and then goes back to cherapunji and stay overnight. i have done a roadtrip in my friends' Maruti Eeco and covered both this places in a single day. just in rainy days take care of road with red mud. thats all
