Let me put it this way. Apart from me, and maybe you guys there was no one else in the group that had any experience with a proper group riding.

By the time I'm there I see no one and this group calls me says we're already at AP police academy. So I take a facepalm and ride there.... expect to find you guys with them.. and Nope.

I was wishing I had Murali's number or he had seen mine in his xbhp inbox Didn't happen.

Group didn't want to go back.
Guess what else happens when you ride with group riding newbies.

These guys kept laughing their asses off when I asked them about absence of helmets and when I was showing them the group riding 'signals' that a ride leader will give them.


Amid the trip half of them took off 100+ speeds (without helmets) and I had tough time catching them (still in engine breakin) .. but at times I had to go 90 for a minute or two


I didn't want to blurt all this out, but guess I lost control now.

Dear Krish, I am really shocked to know you have allowed bikers to ride in the group without helmet. You must have known that xBhp doesn't allow anyone to ride without helmet. Please do not associate xBhp with riders riding without helmet. You should have let them go alone and ride separately.

And, the idea of inviting riders on Facebook and then associating the ride with xBhp is not a great one. How did you think you can manage riders that you don't know?

Please don't associate yourself with riders who ride without basic riding gear. The next time, tell them bluntly not to ride with you without helmet.

dude i was there at 4:50 and murali joined at 5:05.. i waited till 5:30 and as far as i had a word with murali he was there till 6 before he started. also on facebook and on xbhp i thought it was a xbhp ride else i woudn't have come there.

neways ride or missing is not the concern there are always more staurday's and sundays to come. just be safe and please be ing proper gear and for the rest too..

else it can always be a horrible moment rather than a scenic amazing ride.

a suggestion would be next time do not ride in any such things if group riding guidelines cannot be adhered. also safety is the primary thing.

I am myself pretty much pissed off that even after mentioning that helmet is "compulsory" even for pillion ....... I found I was the only one following the rules.

A night before the drive I had argument with one of the guys on phone for 2 hrs as he was hell bent on not wearing helmet stating that he has glasses and he cant see sides if he wears one.. or whatever. He was like .. you're talking about safety after crash.. but bcos of helmet I'll crash.. if not I wont. I was like dont come.

Besides, I know 3 of them..my college mates almost a decade ago ... I was surprised they grew up to be pretty stubborn about unsafe riding.

On meeting them, when mentioned about helmet, they decided to ride anyway (with our without me) and I thought I better tag along for just this time; just in case something happens.

80% of the drive I was trying to catch up with them (as they wouldnt adhere to speed limit rule and zoom 100, 120+ sometimes)
Half the way, I was pretty worried when I didn't see them ... I know what I went through. Fscking not riding with them again.

I can't figure out how I missed you guys.. I stopped my bike just after taking right (from towlichowki) and my phone was already ringing.. I picked up.. they said we're all at AP police academy.. I thought you guys included and I just took off.

Btw, can someone from Xbhp do an official ride in Hyd.
This has been an experience.. that taught me not to do it again.
Want to ride again with riders who respect safety measures.

Just in case, someone has doubts on if I ride safely...

One of my 'sane' friend who had to drop out last moment due to personal reasons had my knee guards with him (he was supposed to get them on ride )

So I took my older cycle/skate knee guards and wore them on the ride.

no one has any doubts on you
just that the other guys didn't follow any safety rules!

there are many weekends that yet to come so surely we all xbhp Hyderabad members will meet one day and ride together
