i am sorry I have not been contributing to our community, also because I have not been riding much.

Need some help, and hoping you guys would be kind.

Want to leave for Leh, latest by the 18-19th of this month. Don't have time to get permits and all, so was hoping they give it on location. Friends say, go by train, hire a bike in Srinagar, but I want to ride down. Sorry, but I can only ride long solo, if my woman is there.

Any suggestions/warnings are most welcome. What I want to know is,

expenditure : excluding petrol.
petrol pumps : when to worry, I own a P220 DTSi
Possible pit stops and all, if riding from Mumbai.
