Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Less population and safety don't go hand in hand .. Unless there is 'no' population!

If you have come in three weeks back, you should have proof to back it up. You don't need to pay anything to the cops in this case!

PS: On a side note go to Nandi Hills! Your problem is solved!

when i Googled romantic getaways the first result was "nandhi hills"...so i am assuming lots and lots of ppl there.....usually no prob with fellow couples but heard there r groups that come to booze and create a fuss

so any other less populated but safe......fine a less safe place?

also we have other option of going in car...but in this case its like my girl taking me as i don't know how to drive four wheels(yeah i worship bikes) and i should be the navigator.......which is not fun(for both of us)....and importantly it hurts my pride

p.s i don't have any papers to prove i got the bike 3weeks back.....so whats the normal amount they take?

Hahaha Lolz.. I guess thats how it works in our country. Unfortunately the less crowded places would be utilized by such groups to indulge in all such sort of activities, unless the place is a tourist destination with good amount of police presence. Or else head to a place that one is well acquainted with.

Dood, where do you stay in B'lore?

As far as NOC is concerned, you'll have to prove to the (corrupt, in most cases) cop that you came 20-25 days back by hook or by crook.
(Rail/air/bus tickets will do. Toll booth tickets shall be good too)

Get a PUC from a petrol bunk however.
If caught without a valid NOC (or not-enough-reason) you'll have to cough up INR 1200 to the cop. You'll get a challan for 1200.
But, if you add to the corruption by bribing him; that depends upon you to convince him for an amount.

Avoid Nandi hills. Me going out with friends and we might disturb you.

              Try Innovative Film City.
(BLR-MYS highway ~60 kms from Marathalli)

              -----------------------
In case you plan on Innovative Film City:-
              1. Book entry tickets from Snapdeal.com (Buy one, get one free scheme)
              2. Camera is 100 INR extra
              3. If you take the NICE road from Yeswantpur, roads are excellent.
              4. If you hit the Mysore road from Marathalli, roads are a royal PITA!!!

              Have a happy weekend!

Cops duty is the check for traffic violations and he can also verify your papers RC, Insurance, PUC

NOC is for the RTO folks.

There is no law saying there is a fine of 1200 if you don't have NOC.

However getting caught by the RTO is trouble.

Usually they will have white Bolero
                      White shirts + kakki pants

                      Found usually near

                      Jayadeva flyover,
                      Koramangala BDA,
                      Mysore road near RV college.
                      Electronic City
                      Sarapur area

BTW Nandi is a good option however weekends will be crowded.
If you just want to go for a drive/ride there are empty roads off mysore road basically going no-where but good tarmac and mostly empty

i suggest nandi hills itself dude. Its a very very big place, worth seeing. You'll enjoy yourself to the core. Almost 80% of the crowd going there are couples. ONLY ON WEEKDAYS. And its rare that you meet ppl boozin and all. If you know the place well, you can enjoy by exploitin its safe places where no one can suspect. When we go there with frds, that's our job. To search. Do not worry. Weekdays, thats the best place. Or you can try pearl valley.. If you just want a long ride then instead of taking deviation for nandi you can continue on the highway. NH7. Specially near and after chikbalapur. The best highways and cool scenery

True, but I was given a challan of 1200/- in Chennai last year for riding without NOC. My bike is Jharkhand registered.
I'd the papers at home, hence I asked my friend to bring it on spot. I escaped
with a spot fine of 300 INR.

                            Anyways, refer this.

Don't run away from them. Stop if they ask you to. Because you may not be able to outrun all cops on the highway. They make perfect use of walkie talkies on road.
