You should go via Bangalore-(NH4)-Pune-Ahmednagar-Shirdi-Malegaon-(NH3)-Dhule-(NH3)-Indore.

Bangalore, Karnataka, India to Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India - Google Maps

Only slightly longer (by 70odd km) than the routes you have shortlisted. But this is the recommended route if you don't want to break your back.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I will follow the route suggested by Antz.

Will post a trip log after returning.

P.S - I will be riding a Pulsar 220 Dtsi, is it recommended to cruise on 100 KMPH all day long?

I also ride a Pulsar 220 DTSi. My usual cruise speed is 105-110 kmph. The bike is quite relaxed at that speed. No issues in maintaining that speed for extended hours.

One more thing, in spite of going to Pune and indulging in traffic, is it advisable to take the state highway from Satara, that connects Amhednagar via Baramati?

So basically it will be

Satara - Baramati - Nagar - Shirdi

Satara, Maharashtra to Ahmednagar, Maharashtra - Google Maps

I'd suggest continuing until Pune & take the Khedgaon route, join Wagholi & continue towards Ahmednagar.

Thanks aargee, however I will take the Satara - Phaltan - Baramati - Ahmednagar - Shirdi Route,

Heard a lot about this route and people say they are decent double lane road with ample scenic beauties. I will update you all about the road conditions once I return. I do not want to indulge in Pune traffic anyhow.
