HI All,

I am Srinath and planning for a quick burst to Valparai through the forest route through sholayar forests. It would be great if someone who has toured in the route recently could update me on the road conditions and precautions to be taken while riding through the forests. I have heard a lot about the beauty of Chalakkudy-Athirappali-Valparai forest route and this is my first time riding through the route!

The Trip plan:

Bike: Pulsar 200 NS ( 3400KMS on ODO currently)-SOLO RIDE

Saturday morning:5:00 AM (3 Nov, 2012) - Start from Kakkanad, Cochin.
6:00AM: Reach Chalakkudy.
8:00 AM Breaksfast at small junction after Vazhachal.
Further its totally uplanned ride.. Would spend the Saturday night at Valparai and start off to Pollachi Sunday morning ( by 10-11) and further to Palakkad-Cochin by EOD.

Anyone could suggest me a better plan/ advices? Also could you please suggest some places of beauty/adventure. I believe hotel Greenhill would be perfect for accomodation as I am SOLO :P Thoughts please.
