  • WANTED!! Tips for biking in Arunachal Pradesh

We 4 oldies planning to bike from Guwahati to Dibrugarh starting November 11th 2012. ILPs in place. Tickets in place. Bikes in place. 3 Pulsars and and 1 Avenger

    Rough plan/ itinerary

Guwahati- Bomdilla- Tawang- Bhalukpong- Ziro/ Daporijo- Dibrugarh

    A few questions:
    1. How good/ bad will the roads be and how many kilometers can we cover on average?
    2. What will the weather be like?
    3. Are there sufficient maintenance places/ petrol stations along the route?
    4. Any blogs that I can refer for advice
    5. Anyone who's crossed the Brahmaputra recently by ferry to Dibrugarh? Frequency, timing, any difficulties?

Really appreciate your assistance and good wishes

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Members Darknight and MG had done Arunachal recently. Search their triplog. Beriost also did a solo trip to arunachal. Search for that triplog here on xbhp as well.

Also google H V Kumar (i think that is the name!) done a suv trip to arunachal.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Give your details here if you want to help your fellow xBhpian stranded in your city
