    Route: Mumbai - Kolhapur - Amboli - Palolem - Gokharna - Jog falls -Murudeshwar - Udipi - Bekal - Kannur - Thirunelly ( Wayanad) - Chennai.
While coming back , we are planning to come via NH4 and visit Hampi enroute.

    Gmaps link

Days: 15 days which include 4 days resting in chennai.( we are starting in the last week of this november)

    Pls suggest me
    1. Any other places to visit
    2. Place to stay
    3. Routes to avoid - Based on road condition & access to amenities
    4. Things to carry - Bike related
    5. Pre-ride preparation for bike. Our Bikes are 3.5 yrs old and done 20000km with stock set-up.

    P.S:
    1. This is our first very long ride. max distance we' ve done is 1050(3days)
    2. Our avg speed will be 60kmph max.

    Please guide us..

    Thanks,

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Since you're going to Jog, try these places instead of Udipi...

      Murudeshwar - Gokarnam - Sirsi - Jog - Sagar - Chikmagalur - Belur - Hassan - Mysore - Gundulpet - Bandipur - Sulthan Bathery - Mananthavady - Gonikoppal - Virajpet - Madikeri - Sulya - Jalsoor - Bekal

It will be a trip of life & you'll have eye sore of Greens

Agreed with Aargee. Added to that, you can plan out for Mangalore-Udupi on your way back. Kudremukh, Agumbe (specially having food in the Malgudi Days house), Kundadri hills, Agumbe Sunset points are few things which you can hardly avoid. So, on your way back, from Kasargod (once you are done visiting Bekal Fort), you can come down to Mangalore and explore in and around and head back.

I am based out of Mangalore. I would love to host both you at my place. Please let me know your time of visit. I am reachable at 9481202707

During my ride to Wayanad and coorg in the monsoon this year we had stayed at Suthan Bathery. The stay was cheap over there at around 300 Rs for the night for 2. Do check out the Eddakkal caves over there, during the monsoon it was shut, by the pics it looked good.

              Regards,

                Deepan..
We stayed in Brahmagiri hills hotel 1100 rs/night but 3* facility. Ya.. we went to Edakkal caves.. its one hella lot of trekking. if u r into archeology stuff u shud visit otherwise avoid, it is lot more tiring and time consuming. trip to Soochipara falls was superb. if u happen to visit wayanad again, dont miss that place.
