nevertheless, we folks are doing a 1 day trip to sula vineyards next sunday - 2nd June - details are already posted on mumbai g2g thread - if u r free then, do join the team.
and yes, another guy @I_Live2Ride [post # 20751 on mumbai g2g thread] is doing mumbai > pune > mumbai this evening - u may feel free to ping him, either on the thread or via pm - he is starting this evening.

but good going on this thread... there are dozens of folks around who do 'breakfast rides' every sunday to nearby places - am certain u possibly will not be boredom struck again :-)

... Yes, I am going to Pune today but I will not be doing more than 70-80 Kmph

because my bike (P180) is consuming engine oil and she heats up often

.. I may take her to SVC next weekend and that's the reason I kept my name in the tentative list for the Sula Vineyard trip

.... but I can come to see off you guys..!! What say?

And as far as today's ride is concerned,

Where's the Plan For? : Pune, to attend a friend's reception party.
How many days of fun? : Starting Saturday (25th May) evening at 6PM, will come back on Monday morning (27th).
Is the returning plan fixed or flexible? : Fixed
How many people already with you? : Just me.
How much kilometers of ride? : Approx 320km round trip
Any idea about expenses? : Rs.700-800 approx.
What all bikes?: P180.

EDIT:- i'll be doing 100-110 instead of 70-80...

@Sird : u can accompany I_Live2Ride to pune. u may stay the night @ Prabhat Lodge, Prabhat Road, Deccan Gymkhana or Maharashtra Logde, Ferguson College Road, Deccan Gymkhana - both affordable places - google for their contact # & book a basic room for a sleep-over.
u will find loads of good + affordable eateries around there & u will not stay hungry
- u can ride back on Sunday morning solo :-)

@I_Live2Ride : as already shared earlier, pls visit mahalaxmi automobiles [mr. pawar - +919821568511] [retail & legit service outlet of shreeram bajaj probiking] @ tikuji ni wadi + gladys alwares junction [off. ghodbunder road manpada junction, next to rambhia foods & opp. gaurav sweets / happy valley complex] - NO PRIOR appointment is required :-) [pls ref the map below - the red circle is the service center]
they will fix ur ride in 1 or @ the max 2 days flat - good folks & reliable!
n so u can be our fellowman for the sula ride instead of merely flagging us off :-)

- a list of folks who are kind enuff to share their gear is available there
- locate folks closer to where u live
- call them up
- request for the requisite gear
- use the borrowed gear responsibly for the ride
- clean up the borrowed gear & return it to the owner, once u r back from the ride [with a pinch of gratitude & thanks :-)]
oh n btw, i am in pune rt now myself - returning to thane / mumbai tomorrow evening :-)

i guess the above invalidates all the reasons for you guys not joining us for the sula ride ;-)

Boss.. guess what... don't know what happened to me I suddenly took my bike to a local mechanic next to my office in Kanjurmarg for some basic checkup a couple of minutes ago and he did a complete inspection. The bike is NOT drinking engine oil.. The level was low because the previous mechanic filled her with 1Ltr instead of 1.2Ltr.. The peculiar tic tic tic noise was coming because the previous mechanic did not tighten the spark plug. The plug was tightened by just two threads and was not fitted properly. This new guy cleaned the spark plug and tightened it properly and wholaaaaaa... the tic tic tic sound is gone.... Moreover, I ordered riding gears from ebay and it should come in a day or two....That means I am in for the Sula ride

Order your riding gears from ebay.. Try AXO gears instead of FOX...

give me ONE reason why i shudnt! ;-)
there can be many reasons for guys to avoid a ride... e.g. having Alzheimer's of the Ass or being scared to ride in rains etc. [as what i am & i take no shame in admitting that ;-)]
there are a million reasons to avoid a ride... but there is only ONE good reason to join in... & that is 'coz u WANT to :-)
if a guy is firm on that, all other logistics can be worked around & worked out ;-)
