  • Help needed, kerala-tamilnadu-pondicherry trip!

    I am planning on a 2000 km trip from mangalore, karanataka to madikeri, ooty, Coimbatore, kochi, madurai, pondicherry, and back to Mangalore via Bangalore.
    Planning to go in around July 1st week.

    1. How will the weather be at this time of the year in the above mentioned places? Will it be a problem?

    2. Is there any other good place/road I can cover through this route?

        Expect hot scorching sun in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Use sun-screen solution to avoid getting sun-burnt. I prefer early morning departure at 4 am so that more distance could be covered before the first break.

        You can consider Pondicherry>Tindivanam bypass>Vandavasi>Cheyyar bypass>Arcot bypass>Chittoor bypass>Mulabagilu bypass>Kolar bypass>Bangalore route.

            Pondy to Tindivanam: Excellent 4-laned NH 66;
            Tindivanam to Mulabagilu: Good 2-laned SH/NH with less traffic;
            Mulabagilu to Bangalore: Excellent 4 laned NH 4.
