Solo Bike Trip - Mumbai to Kanyakumari

Hello friends, a warm hello from Gurgaon. This is my first post
I want to do a solo bike trip from Mumbai to Kanyakumari from 17th December to 26th Dec (10 days).
I plan to do half route along the coast and other half inland. Here is the itinerary I could come up with. I know it looks weird, but I would focus on riding more than visiting places.
Day 1 - Mumbai to Harihareshwar - 188 kms.
2 - Hariharesh to Ratnagiri - 223
3 - Ratnagiri to Colva - 266
4 - Colva to Bhatkal - 206
5 - Bhatkal to Chikmagalur(via Udupi) - 222
6 - Chikmagalur to Gundlupet - 236
7 - Gundlupet to Udumalaipettai(via Ooty) - 225
8 - Udumalaipettai to Tirumangalam(via Munnar) - 230
9 - Tirumanglam to Kanyakumari - 219
10 - Reserve
A few questions:
1) Roughly 2000kms. Do you think this makes sense? Do-able in 10 days?
2) Would I find cheap accommodations on these stops? How hard is it to find home-stays on the way? Do I prebook before hand? I plan to survive at 1500/- per day(excluding fuel).
