You can return to Trivandrum on same day and stay in Trivandrum near Kovalam and next day you can have nice morning walk in Kovalam and after breakfast you can head to cochin ... Kovalam to Cochin is around 200km .. and you can go around in cochin at that same day.

May be we can meet at Kovalam

Day 9. Kovalam to. Cochin ..

Day 10 . Cochin to Mangalore.. try to visit the drivable beach in Kannure..

I had thought of that. But I'll have to do the 80 km at night after the sunset at KanyaKumari.

Secondly , Isn't There anything in Thiruvanantpuram ??

    And Lets definitely meet.....

First of all , I would like to thank you for tagging your friends to help me.

I am planning to start on 23rd December. Dates are flexilble . Had chosen 23rd , so that I reach KanyaKumari on 31st( assuming I'll spend day 10 before at Allepy) . Last Sunset at the last point.

Nothing big deal buddy .. you can do that 80km .. best plan .. book your hotel at Trivandrum and go to Kaniyakumari.. as you will be going via Trivandrum. And at Trivandrum .. There are some beachs and in City it has.. Zoo.. some parks .. and a hill area ponumudi which is currently closed for public.. I guess Kovalam beach will be great place and Varakala cliff beach en route to Cochin ...

Your intention of making the visit on those dates are good but may I alert you in advance those dates will burn a hole in your pocket since it's holiday season at beaches during the year end.

Trivandrum xbhpians will be willing to take you around if you contact them. Vaish is among them, since he's here he could be your lead at Trivandrum.

Those what Vaish said about the ride back from Kanyakumari is correct, I would advice you don't do it if you are not comfy with night riding plus if no stay is arranged at Trivandrum in advance.

I'm from Goa.So i 'm not that insterested in beaches. I think I won't go to Kovalam unless I get a good hotel there.

Okay , When do the prices get relaxed ?

Whether I stay in Trivandrum ot not , I'll definitely try to meet Vaish. But I wanted to know whether staying in Trivandrum for an extra day is worth, because I had jus heard there is paragliding at Vagamon.

Am not sure about the paragliding at wagamon ... but damn sure its a sexy place... and nothing much to see around in Trivandrum / with concern to additional stay. Unitil and unless you have interest with History .? I would also recommend kovalam .. even though you are from Goa because its a sexy beach..

Note : now its a season like in goa.. so hotels at Kovalam will be expensive. Between when are you planning to ride down..

better as I said above.. after breakfast from kovalam... head to Cochin .. at cochin you can visit .. Fort Kochi .. and stay somewhere in cochin. Or head to Thrisure and stay there .. and next day start to Mangalore..

Do you have plans to stay in Thekkady?? I can suggest you a good hotel over there, dont know the availability of the room right now!
Between Kuttikanam and Mundakkayam there is an ayurvedic treatment centre, and is a reputed one, I can even ask there if you are interested???

The prices will be relaxed only after January but then your plan to see the last Sunset/Sun rise will be a flop.

About Trivandrum, there are some places to see in there but I don't think you can accommodate it in 2 days.

Will they relax in the first week of jan ??
do the expensive prices in the last week of December apply only to beach destination , or also for cities and hill stations??
any idea how much the difference is ?

No, it will take mid month or atleast till the month end for the prices to get relaxed. The prices will be on the higher side already. Restrictions won't be only to beaches cos it's holiday season now.

I suggest you pre-book the hotels and start the ride, plus fix your haults.
