    Riding Solo - Hyderabad - Kottayam

    Hello everyone,
    I am planning to ride from Hyderabad to Kottayam, Kerala this weekend, solo. The longest trip I've ever taken is 250 kilometers, and this one spans around 1300. Bike is Duke 200. I request experienced people to help me out with the route map. The tentative plan is, Hyderabad-Bangalore-Salem-Erode-Coimbatore-Palakkad-Thrissur-Eranakulam-Kottayam. If anybody has a better route or suggestions, please do help me out.

        If you have time on hand, try an alternate route for e.g.: Hyd-Karwar-Kottayam (along the coast) or along the hills.
        The multi-laned highways tend to get boring and monotonous.

          Thank you. Time is not at all a problem for me. How is the road and could you tell me about the traffic also a bit please?

            Here's one option: https://www.google.com/maps?saddr=Hy...sz=7&via=1&z=7

            See if you can use google maps in terrain mode and follow the roads that go through green area. Again try this only if you have free time. It is likely to take double the time.

                Hey....how did the trip go? I too am from Kottayam....so if by any chance you plan on going back in the end of June I just might tag along (if you don't mind)

                  Well, I took a flight instead of taking the bike because I had to get there in a hurry. And yes, I will be going some time around June. Please PM me your number, and we can plan this.

                    By saying back...I meant from kottayam to kerala....I currently am in kottayam....I haven't been to andhra although I'd love to see the place...so thought I'd give you company

                      It's a bit late to post this, but I have completed my trip from Hyderabad to Kottayam successfully, 19 hours riding including five hours of break in between, three in Bangalore and rest on the way for refreshments. Other than a sore butt, I had not faced any real issues.
