    Help for making itinerary from Kerala

    Dear fellow bikers..

    I have had the urge to set out on a trip solo (mainly cause nobody wants to tag along) for a long time now...
    I have finally mustered the courage to set out and explore my India.
    I've always wanted to have a glimpse of the Konkan Coastline and have a first hand experience about what the fuss is all about. Away from all the city life, face to face with nature and all the beauty she has to offer.

    So I request all my brothers to help me create an itinerary and some places I should not miss. Also give me some places to stop and crash for the night as i don't like the idea of riding after 6 p.m. I will probably have a week of riding. Being still in the job hunting phase, my budget is quite limited. I will be starting from my hometown which is in Kottayam, Kerala during the end of June.
    I ride a RE Classic 500.

    And if anyone is willing to join me. ..they are most welcome.

      That is the issue....I really havent travelled to any other place other than Kerala and Tamil Nadu...having some spare time now I thought I'd travel to my neighbouring states....

      The trip will surely start by June last week....

      So kindly pour in all your inputs so that I can have a wonderful trip

        I was just surfing the web for destinations and places to visit and came across a travel plan I saw on another forum site. ...

        I would like all the senior members to give their suggestions and also explain the various 'must not miss' places en route


        Kerala

        Kottayam ---> Cochin ---> Thrissur ---> Calicut ---> Mahe ---> Kannur ---> Kasargod ---> Manjeshwar

        Length of this segment :- Around 500 km

        Karnataka

        Talapady ---> Mangalore ---> Suratkal ---> Udupi ---> Kundapura ---> Bhatkal ---> Honavar ---> Karwar.

        Length of the segment :- Around 300 km.

        Goa

        Karnataka-Goa Border near Karwar ---> Madgaon ---> Panaji ---> Calangute

        Length of the segment :- 110 km


        If anybody has done this trip I'd like to know how long it will take to complete this trip....and how long will it take to cross each state.

            Really praying for some one to appear and help you. Am waiting for your tlog and kindly narrate calicut to goa stretch as clearly as you can. Am planning for same stretch but only for coming season.

                    Well, here I am... we shall start as per your schedule, and I shall accompany you until Hyderabad at least, as I've said. To Goa, well, that too is fine, I guess. And coming back, you will have to ride real solo, or I'll be your pillion, because as you know, if I take my bike with you, I'll end up soloing back to Hyderabad or will have to send it by train... What say?

                    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

                    I did a non-stop solo from Hyderabad to Kottayam last month, took 19 hours excluding breaks (5 hours in total) to reach Kottayam. The only issue I've faced was sore rear end towards the end of the trip, like when I reached Coimbatore... But then the miles I munched gave me confidence to go on without stopping longer than for a coffee...

                              I have decided otherwise....most probably will ride from Kottayam to Kanyakumari....then will head to Hyderabad...will have fellow xbhpian leocrid with me...then go solo from Hyderabad to Bangy and back to Kottayam...will start by 26th...
