    How to get the permission for BP609 aka Border Post 609 near tanot (Jaisalmer/Rajasthan)

    Hi Friends,

    Can anybody help me with the process for permission to visit BP 609 ?
    I don't know whether permission is needed or not, but as being a border post it should surely need a permission.
    Indian citizens are allowed to visit the Tanot Mata Mandir but I have no clue where can I get the permission for visiting BP609?


    Please help me to get the info.

      The permission for BP 609 can ONLY be obtained at CO BSF in jaisalmer. IF you dont have it then you will not be permitted to the border and have to stop at TANOT. But then even without permit you may be able to get by if you have some influential reference who can call up the post.
      I faced similar problems while researching for my visit to BP 609, Tanot and Longewala.
