Advice on Delhi to Mussoorie & Dhanaulti route & road conditions

    Advice on Delhi to Mussoorie & Dhanaulti route & road conditions

    Hi fellows
    We are planning a trip to Mussoorie & Dhanaulti starting on 7th April & return on the 10th April. This will be my 1st long ride on my CBR 250R. Although I've done lot many & longer rides in Karizma ZMR in India.

    Need some info on the routes & current road conditions.
    We've 2 routes chalked out based on some googling. Please advice on the best route to take.

    Ride: Honda CBR 250R (std)

    Route 1:
    Gurgaon - Delhi - Murthal - Panipat - Karnal - Yamuna Nagar - Jagadhari - Kalesar - Painta Sahib - Hertbertpur - Dehradun - Mussoorie

    Route2: Gurgaon - Delhi - Ghaziabad - Muradnagar - Modinagar - Partapur - Meerut - Muzaffarnagar - Saharanpur - Dehradoon - Mussoorie

    Google maps tells me that route 1 is longer by about 35-40 Km than route 2. But I'm little sceptical to take route 2 as the road widening/construction work was going on in August last yr when I went to Mussoorie.

    Please suggest the best possible route & advice on the road conditions.

      This route is better though kms may be a bit more, but does it matter to us. Its more fun.

      This is more fun, if you are late in leaving early you may get stuck in Modi Nagar only. Otherwise its nice and shorter. The road construction work is almost done apart from few patches.
