    What is the best route from Chandigarh to Kasol?

    Hi All,

    After having made a Leh trip last summer, I've always wanted to go to Kasol. Will be flying/taking a train to Chandigarh this June and then renting a bike to Kasol. It would be great if someone can address the below queries

    1. What bike would be recommended to rent given that I will be riding with a pillion throughout this route?
    2. How are the roads in general and which route is recommended?
    3. Are there enough local tyre waalas in case of punctures in HP?
    4. Any idea about the weather in June?

    Any other tips/suggestions are welcome. Cheers!

      1. What bike would be recommended to rent given that I will be riding with a pillion throughout this route? - Duke 200/Pulsar will be available at cheap rates
      2. How are the roads in general and which route is recommended? - Roads are very good after mandi, recommended route is chandigarh - mandi - bhunter - kasol
      3. Are there enough local tyre waalas in case of punctures in HP? - yup, there are many
      4. Any idea about the weather in June? - weather is pleasant, short sleeves during the day, light jacket at night

        for the second point:
        rather than taking Chandigarh-Kiratpur-Swarghat - Bilaspur- Mandi route
        Please prefer Chandigarh-kiratpur - nangal- Una- Bilaspur route as there is construction work going on Swarghat section of NH21.
