Disclaimer: I am not a seasoned tourer. Still trying to learn the basics and not much familiar with the maintenance part of bike with a max one day attempt of 450 kms.


So I am planning to ride from Pune to Goa early monsoon times. Please provide your suggestions with following questions so that I can plan my ride in best way

1. Which is the best route to take? Is the route through NH 4 via Kolhapur is the best to take or is there some coast scenic approach too?

2. What will be the road conditions during early monsoon?

3. What would be the places that can be seen along the way?

4. What is the level of mechanical support available on the way? Or what should be the mandatory tools and spares that I should keep for an emergency or breakdown

5. Which part of Goa is better to explore in monsoon times? I have been to the commercially famous side of Goa, all off beat suggestions are welcome
