    Hi brothers

I am planning a trip with begum to reckong peo, in the 2nd week of july.
Would you please suggest a route & advise if its the right time to go as monsoon is almost here.
If its not feasible, then what other off beat destinations can be chosen for a bike trip with my begum ...!!!

    Query Approved

Yes Reckong Peo is very much doable at that time of the year!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Delhi-Shimla-Narkanda-Rampur-Reckong Peo. Though i would suggest staying in Kalpa, much prettier than staying in Peo.

You can also visit Sarahan, a nice place to stay as well.

An alternate route is Delhi - Shimla - Naldhera - Rampur - Reckong Peo.

There is another alternate route via the old Hindustan Tibet trail, but i wouldn't recommend that at all!

Thanks bro ... Out of the 2 highlighted routes, which one would have less potholes & safer with a female as a pillion rider. What do u suggest.

The first one has more traffic, so probably better from your POV. Though the second one is more fun, but a bit out of the way, so best you take the first route, since you have a female pillion.

              Gurgaon to Chitkul

              Hello fellow bikers

My trip from Gurgaon to MahendraNagar has gone in the box ... Courtesy: my begum.

Now We are planning a trip to Chitkul. Would you please guide us in chalking out the itinerary & the possible route to take.
Would you please also let me know the current road conditions as I came to know of a recent flash flood in Batseri village in Sangla.
What are the suggested pit stops on this route.
We have done many bike rides in the mountains of India. But we don't know this area & it's completely virgin land for us. I have heard that there are areas that are completely dry in terms of habitation so I was just wondering, what to do in case of minor issues like tire puncture etc. although I would be carrying a puncture kit, but no tire inflator as it would add lot of weight on the bike.
Please advise, i have only 4 days for the trip.

Travel dates: 28th July to 31st July
              Travelers: Me & my wife
Bike: Honda CBR 250R (4 months old)

              Thanks in advance
