    Delhi - Pune Route Query

    Hey everyone!

    Need your advice on the below:

    Heading to Pune in September end. I know the easiest option would be to catch a flight but...whats the fun? Wake up at 3, catch a flight at 5, reach by 7? Nope...not this time.

    So whats the best route?

    I know I could take the NH8, the easiest and the safest bet. Been there, done that. So do it this time too? The same route?

    I was pondering upon the North - South corridor (or is it?, NH7?). Hows the route? and the road conditions?

    Plan to cover the distance in 2 days. riding 12 hours a day on a RE Std. 500 is not an issue.

    As of Now, Delhi-Indore (night stay)-Pune is on my mind.

    The Pune - Indore stretch is no problem. The Delhi - Indore stretch is quite terrible. But again it depends on how you plan to get to Indore from Delhi. The via(agra) route is terrible You will be standing on the pegs and riding the entire stretch. The route via Rajasthan i am not too sure off
    Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

      Ah...so here it goes.

      Day 0: Leave Delhi @4.00pm. Reach Pushkar. Night stay.
      Day 1: Pushkar-Chittor-Ratlam-Indore. Night stay. I've heard the route is good enough. @others...any comments/suggestions?
      Day 2: Indore-Malegaon-Dhule-Pune.

      More suggestions and inputs welcome.

        well, the nh-8 route is quite scenic and smooth roads smooth sailing, but since you have already done that, no point doing it again...

        just something i heard from others, sharing it with you, the area around indore is not safe especially late evenings. so just ensure you get into a hotel before it is too dark...
