  • Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai plan

Well, I'm looking forward to a Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai trip next year by May.
I'm a first timer! Longest trip done- 500kms. Faridabad-Rewari-Faridabad with group.
Bike owned- Honda CBR250R Non ABS
    KMS Done- ~27500
Bought the bike in March '15
I'm also considering recording my journey and thus am gonna buy a helmet cam, a mic setup and a BT set to connect with the phone.
Any advice for the preparations? And, if possible, any price estimates?
I'm thinking of stretching the journey over 3 days with stops at Vadodara and Ajmer. No night riding involved.
I'll be carrying a backpack and a tankbag.
Gears- SMK helmet, Cramster TRG2 gloves, PGS jacket, ProBiker Speed boots and will be purchasing knee pads soon.

    Query Approved

    Next year in May!!!

You should be doing many more rides in the meantime. That's almost a year away

And May will be bloody hot. You will be toast by the time you reach anywhere!
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

No worries about the heat. Delhi is a lot more hotter than Mumbai anytime. I've planned small rides of 3-5 hrs in the meantime. Like from mum-alibagh, lonavla, malshej ghat, etc..

Do not carry any luggage in your backpack. It will tire you needlessly. At the most keep your wallet, bike papers etc. in the backpack. Else bungee the bag onto the pillion seat.

Its not the heat in Delhi or Mumbai which is bad! You will be passing through an inferno named Rajasthan and Gujarat.

In Mumbai heat won't irritate you that much but the Humidity will be pain in the ass definitely.
Better plan Before or After Summer.

Rajasthan will be stove though 😅
And yeah, backpack will be consisting of bike papers and water bottles. I'll try and put some casual clothes in it and for the rest, I'll use the tank bag

Yeah man, humidity's bad here. The weather isn't extreme as in Delhi but the humidity irritates a lot!

Consider coming via indore in May. Your wit would bless you. Rajasthan in May is a no no. Not only because of the heat, there could be issues with the machine too. And the roads after ahemdabad till jaipur are empty to deserted.

Else, ride at night. Not recommended though.

Night riding is ruled out, from the first thought itself. Thanks for the update bro! ✌️✌️✌️

                    Re: Mumbai-Delhi-Mumbai plan

I'm about to start the trip in a few days. May 1, tentatively. I've decided to tie a bag on the rear seat with a bungee cord. I'm not really keen towards buying a saddle bag because I won't be touring much, and thus, won't be needing it much.
                    Route:
                    Mumbai-Indore (~12 hours)
                    Indore-Bhilwara (near Udaipur) (~10 hours)
                    Bhilwara-Faridabad via Gurgaon (~10 hours)

Any suugestions or precautions that I should take care of?

I'll be leaving at around 4-5a.m. from Mumbai to escape as much traffic as I can [emoji28]
