  • Help fellow rider for Delhi to Gujarat

    Hey there,
I recently got posted in Air Force station Gandhinagar and my home state is Delhi.
I have a 200NS of 2013 model which I am planning to ride from Delhi to Gujarat in a day.
I have done 400 or so kms ride quite a few time but this 900 km ride will be the first and the longest one in my life.
So I ask all my fellow xBhpians to guide me for this journey, how and what to prepare for, how the journey will be, what precautions to take and that all.
I know I could search in older threads but believe me due to recent Pulwama attacks and its aftermath, we barely get 1 hour to use our phone here (and in that i have to talk to parents daily, read news, use WhatsApp and all that).
I'm planning to ride on 20th of April.
Any kind of advice will be welcomed.
    Jai hind.

      Congratulations on your posting.

I'm not a very long distance tourer but I do go from city to city on motorcycles. I used to own a Pulsar NS 200 2013 model as well and the bike was a very reliable one. Just make sure that you have the motorcycle in mint condition and if it requires some replacements or a service, have a friend at home get that done for you. For the travel, plan the route in advance and make sure you know about a few service centres on the way. Divide the journey into two days if possible, 450 KM's each so that it is comfortable. Pack light but carry the essentials with you along with all motorcycle documents.
Considering the motorcycle you're riding there isn't supposed to be any issue.
I always ride with protective gear and have drinking water with me. Rest is available on the highway.

      Good luck
      Happy riding
