Im planning to ride from Coimbatore to Bangalore this weekend. Just wanted to know the shortest and best route. Someone suggested me the Bhavani route..But Im a little skeptical of that route..Please advise. Thanks.

The bhavani route will bypass salem and erode. And probably a tollbooth IIRC. You might probably save some time and money in a car, but nothing significant on a bike. If time is not a constraint, you could try the Kollegal-sathyamangalam route. Some nice curves and beautiful scenery to keep you entertained. Not sure about the road conditions though.
Otherwise, stick to krishnagiri-salem-coimbatore route. Long, safe and (almost) empty roads.Comment
