ride from panvel to madgaon

hey bro,

For the map jus hunt it on google yaar.
for the bike ride, hv a tool kit, first aid , and spare tube in case of any emergencies or breakdown.
i guess after panvel its the national highway which is a straight route towards goa, the roads were good around 3 years back (dunno abt current road conditions)
make sure take a break after every 100 kms or say 1 1/2 hours whichever is convenient according to u, also dont just burn out ur engines to reach goa faster. speed around 70-80-90. dont maintain one speed, keep on switching.
beleive me you will have fun with the scenic views and the roads, only be careful when u r approaching villages or intersection.
also take care for overtaking on the ghats.
just avoid overtaking.
oops forgot, carry ur mobile phones, get roaming activated.

Awsome biking roads i would say..

if you want to reach in time, avoid long breaks.. in group chitchatting and scenaric spots, one tend to loose time .. take many small breaks every 100 Km or so like daredemon said..

plenty of petrol bunks and resturents are there.. so no worries.. and as you get closer to GOA, the scenery improves.. specially sangameshwar.. so save your time for later part as well..

From Panvel its the National Highway to Goa . NH17 . Get just along with the along the highway for ~500kms till you reach Goa.

Its a fairly gud . Not as wide as the other National Highways . Plenty for fuel stations , places to eat and rest . Its quite a busy road all 24hrs of the day so no dangerous spots as such , but still avoid stopping necessarily at night on an highway .
Also there quite a few ghats on your route . Avoid overtaking , be patient on ghats . Dont try to rush . Keep varying your speeds , dont ride at constant RPM .

For some more enjoyment you could also visit some tourist places on your way through like Ganpatipule and Malwan . Beautiful beaches and fantastic fish food .
