Can someone help with tyre pressure for my interceptor 650 with ceat tyres 2021 model.

There is a difference in recommended tyre pressure from owner manual and Ceat website.

Are you absolutely sure that the tyres recommended for your Interceptor are the same ones you checked on Ceat Website? Normally, this should not happen, unless manufacturer recommended tyres are different from the Ceats you're checking. Still, miscommunications do happen.

Anyhow, for now I recommend keeping the lower values 22 and 32 psi (front-rear). 39 seems too high to me.

I recommend lower values for these reasons:-

    1. Its safer, and less likely to result in a tyre burst due to heat/expansion,
    2. It results in more grip, yes, you get more grip on less pressure.
    3. It results in more comfortable ride.

Try 22-32 combo and see if you're able to steer/corner well. If you can, then maintain this pressure.

      Samarth 619 Hi Samarth,

Thanks for your response. The ceat website do not mention the tyre model and gives general recommendations.

As RE has shifted to ceat tyres for interceptor I assume the recommended tyre pressure is for the same tyres as there are not a lot of tyre options available for interceptor.

SVC guys too are not sure on this and got a vague answer however they too believed that the tyre pressure in owner manual is for Perilie tyres which were discontinued. I too think 32-39 is too high.

Riding in low pressure bike seems to run smooth and at 32-39 pressure I used to feel a lot of vibes while down shifting (not sure if this is true but thats what I felt)

I guess I will have to play around a bit with the tyre pressure and find something that feels good.
