  • Tyre for Himalayan - ReiseMoto or Maxxis?

Hi I am very much confused about the tyre selection for my Himalayan. I've used CEAT, APOLLO, MRF out of the three I liked the way MRF performed it was really good. and next I would place CEAT for its soft compound and quality of ride it offered as well as offroad capability it was bit off in handling. Initial 2k to 3k kms in CEAT was good. and APOLLO I cant place it anywhere its more of confused tyre that I came across. now that my MRFs has been giving up I was planning to try something new. Reise moto stroke my eyes. well the MITAS E07 has been praised globally I wanted to try their desi version. also there is MAXXIS another good tyre brand so help me finding my new tyre. My riding style would be 60:40 60% on-road and 40% off-road.

      UPDATE :

I got Reise Tour-r for the rear it does a really good job. covered around 2k kms It is still fresh as new, braking has improved stability is good. rubber compound sits between hard and soft at a balanced state. Whatever terrain you take It does the job.

Now my front Ceat tyre has gone and I am changing it to Metzeler karoo 3 I am waiting to test the combo on and off road

I read somewhere that knobby pattern tyre affects milage. not sure how true it is

With knobbies or left-right profiled tyres as shown in the pic, there is always a slight up and down of the tire.
And you can hear the sound of the rolling tyre, the energy for this sound also has to come from somewhere.
No bicycle racer would favour such a tire.
But much more impact has the speed and its resulting air drag.
