Tyres for Apache rtr160 hyper edge 2012 model.
Hi guys, my rtr has done about 32k km so far and the service person told to change the tyres. I'm dome with TVS tyres. So please suggest me good tyres for both front and rear with decent life. Also don't wanna go for tubes. My front wheel is 90/90 17 and rear is 100/80 18. Thanks.Last edited by demongokul; 02-01-2017, 09:56 PM.Tags: None

Re: Tyres for Apache rtr160 hyper edge 2012 model.
Mrf zapper fy1 90/80 17 for front and for rear Mrf Revz 120/80 R17 radial tire.
Felt to be the best combo, and yes rear will be one size up, fits perfectly and does not cause any drop in mileage or acceleration.
Paid 5.1K after slight bargain including fitment in Bangalore at Mrf exclusive store.

I think the front will fit but is it possible to fit the rear as you have mentioned?

In that case you could go for either "Mrf Zapper C 100/90 18 else upsize to 120/80 18" or "Mrf Zapper Q 100/90 18 else 110/90 18". Btw Zapper C has gotten better feedback from other users than Zapper Q.Originally posted by demongokul View PostBro my front wheel is 90/90 17 and rear is 100/80 18.

Re: Tyres for Apache rtr160 hyper edge 2012 model.
Not sure if still available nevertheless try to see if you could get hold of Mrf Vyde 100 or 110 section in 18 inchers, if you could get Vyde then my recommendation would be that, if not available then Zapper C finally Zapper Q.Originally posted by demongokul View PostOkay thanks.[emoji1]
Let us know which one you got along with price details.

You didn't mention the size. I thought the hyperedge is a 17" like all their newer bikes.Originally posted by demongokul View PostMy rear wheel is 100/80 18
How can I fit a 17" tyre?
I'm currently using a vyde 100/90 TL. Awesome tyre. Front as i mentioned earlier.
I think a 120 is way overkill for the 160. Maybe for the 180. 110 itself is not needed. The loss of performance is too much.

In terms of compound vyde better than q better than c. personally i really like the C pattern, especially on the shoulders.Originally posted by demongokul View PostVyde is better than c or q?
