  • Tubless Tyre for Karizma-R

Hello Folks . . Its been 5 years i am riding on my ZMA with stock MRF zapper FS . I was thinking to change my tyres for sometime.. even though i see the treads are still prominent but i experience frequent skid on gravels and wet surface now with speed as low as 20kmph and moderately hard breaking.

So i am thinking to change the set of tyre with michelin before this monsoon. I found michellin has CITY Pro and SIRAC Street for ZMA size.
Can you guys help me out regarding the wet and gravel grip ; which model would be better. I am thinking to upgrade the rear tyre size to 110/80/90 and front either 2.75*18 or 80/100/18.
If i upgrade the front to 80/100/18 ; will there be any handling issue ?

For better grip look for softer compound tires like Zapper Vyde and Masseter X for the rear. Stick to stock size if possible of 100/90-18. For Front you have option of the same Zapper FS 2.75-18 which is decent, or you can even look Masseter 80/90-18 which is a soft compound and tubeless tire.

Thanks .. Till now i was not considering MRF . As i dont like the stock MRF tyres which are skid prone.
From your input i was checking about the Masseter brand. Howz this Masseter model feedback. It seems MRF projecting it as grippy tyres a level up than Zapper brand.

I dont know about the front masseter tire. Still running on stock at 40k kms and i am happy with the grip it generates.
For the rear i have installed the masseter 100/90-18. The grip is quite good. Sticky is the word i believe to be precise. The profile is round in nature thus makes cornerings a bliss. I haven't found any issue so far in about 700 kms of usage. Will have to wait for rainy season to check the wet weather grip. Even with the stock zapper y i didn't find grip an issue with Karizma R as chassis is quite stable and even during rains. So my guesses is that the softer compound masseter should do better than stock. The Only question, how long this tire will last only time will tell. The stock lasted me 39k kms

              Re: Tubless Tyre for Karizma-R

              Hello Guys,

Want to change my tyres since I have had the fishtailing experience on my Karizma ZMA recently even when I was riding quite slow.. at just about 20-25 kmph in the rain.

I am running stock tyres and want to improve the wet-tarmac riding conditions.

              Please suggest.

              Thanks,
              Akheel Delvi
