  • Tyre for R15 ( 1st Model)

I want to replace my rear tyre for my R15 ( 1st Model).
The place where I live has typical indian condition roads made of concrete and stones which are always dusty.

Suggest me a good tyre from MRF or ceat bcoz we don't have other brand showrooms here.

Why not just go for the stock tyre?
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Will it affect the riding if I go for a 100-90/17 instead of 100-80?

A 90 aspect ratio means it has 10mm more of sidewall height. This increase in sidewall height will surely change the handling dynamics of the bike.

The increased sidewall height will also make the gearing taller, so acceleration will take a drop, with the kind of torque the R15 makes there maybe no increase in topped with this taller gearing.

Do not change from stock specifications for tyres on the R15 V.01. This bike is very sensitive to any change and will throw the handling off if you decide to do so.

I had already gone for 100/00X18 sized tyre because of non availability of tyre due to GST problem. In the whole town there was just 1 tyre but was made 2013.

I'm running my 7 years old V1 on v2 tyres for front changed at 60k kms, and rear v2 tyres changed twice, 1st at 33k kms, and have run total 80k kms now, no problems whatsoever with any dynamics, and mounted on original v1 rims only.
