What Tyre for Tawang ride

Hi all...

I am planning a ride to Tawang. I ride a Thunderbird with stock tyres & completed around 10K kms. Although the ride is next year April/May & tyres will be around 14k old at that time. My question is- Do I go for a new set with offroading capability tyres(chunky tread) as the road will be slushy/muddy/uneven?
