  • Stock Tyre size change

I am owner of Yamaha SZRR V.2 matte green since last one month. Its Rear tyre comes with 100/90-17 TVS tyres and front 2.75-17 Tvs tyre. I have just crossed 1000km. The problem I am facing is rear tyre, its not that much wide according to the power of this machine ( my opinion) so I am thinking of change rear tyre to 110/80-17 Pierlli sport demon and front 90/90-17 MRF. I don't have any issue if milage decreased but grip is more important for me.

    Need experts suggestion.

    Query Approved

The 100 is wide enough for the bike. If you are looking for more grip, then a softer compound tyre is the way to go. If you can get the Pirelli in the stock size, you should be sorted. In such case, I would suggest changing both the front and rear to softer compounds. Remember that softer rubber will last for much less time as compared to harder rubber.
Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

      Stock Tyre size change

      Hi All

I am using Yamaha SZRR V.2, Recently I have changed rear stock tyre 100/90-17, and fitted 120/80-17. After this experiment I am facing little problem (infact big problem) in my bike. I feel the rear wheel is shaking in wet road, also in low speed, but in high speed like 60kmph I don't feel the shake, and also when I stop pushing acceleration it feels rear wheel is pushing me from back and also rear wheel is not steady. I have already spent 3800 BDT for this tyre. What should I do now, go back to stock tyre or something that can help me out to stay with 120/80-17. I have stock front of 2.75-17 which is still in my bike. Do I need to change front as 90/90-17 or 80/100-17 to balance both rear and front tyre or change the rear tyre and get back to factory recommend size

      Thanks.!!
