  • Best Tyres for TVS Jupiter

Hello everyone,Hope you are doing fine!

I am riding my dad's Jupiter right now.The tyres are from TVS in the front and CEAT in the back. Both of them suck, period.I recently had a fall due to some loose sand on the road and the tyres just loose grip easily.I am in need of a good set of tyres that will grip well.Help would be much appreciated.

Budget - Rs.5000/- totally (For both tyres)

    Topic Approved.

You may go for MRF. Please remember than loose sand is one of the extreme conditions and you may or may not be safe on any tyre in such conditions.

On loose sand its always better to use the rear brake.
On plain roads, its mostly better to use the front and rear both.

Unless the tyres are worn out, I do not recommend replacing them just because you had a fall. No company sells extremely sticky soft compound tyres for scooter, although there may be better and worse tyres.

Also, make your tyre choice wisely:-

    1. if you're more likely to encounter bad roads & off roads or water logged roads, choose tyres with bigger and deeper grooves,
    2. if you're more likely to be on good roads, then choose tyres with lesser grooves, the ones which have more rubber surface to contact the road,

And then of course, soft rubber will be more grippy but it will wear out faster.
