  • Splendor Pro: Tyres with most grip

    •Front – 2.75 * 17
    •Rear – 3.00 * 17

These are the sizes I need. Currently using Ceat Milaze (rear) and TVS ATT 450 (front). Need ones that will have grip on muddy and wet roads as it rains here a lot.

Re: Splendor Pro: Tyres with most grip

I'm due for changing tyres and I have decided to change to the following:

      Rear: Apollo ActiGrip R1
      Front: Apollo ActiSteer F1

I've selected these tyres for stability on dusty roads, considering the poor road conditions here. I think the RIB design of F1 wil give more stability as compared to a unidirectional tyre. I was initially planning on getting the Secura Twins from Ceat (F85 and Zoom for Rear) decided against the rubber quality. My bike came pre-fitted with TVS ATT 450 (Front) and Ceat Milaze (Rear).

      Any suggestions?

Ceat Gripp or Gripp XL for rear. And for front you can get Milaze or zapper FS. The rear tyre I suggested, is super good, have used it twice on my bike.

Ceat Gripp seems like a better option when compared to Apollo. I'll consider it. But the Zapper FS is an unidirectional design from what I can see. Fairly sure that a RIB design tyre will suit the riding condition better on dusty roads like here.

Dude, the propulsion from rear is important on dusty roads. I've used that combo on my bike. Other wise you can opt for a 2.75 Gripp on front

There's a front model of the Gripp? That's great to hear. I'll head out and inquire about it.

I'm not sure there is, but can't we use. Rear tyre at front? Using Front tyre at rear doesn't works, that my friend learnt the hard way, he didn't knew it was a front tyre though, only when we were changing the tyre did I see F on it.

You can opt for mrf massetar as well if they are available in recommend dimensions. Excellent grip in wet/dry roads and long lasting as well.

I tried the Ceat Tyres and they're really wobbly and I think I'm having some balancing issues ever since I fit them. I check every other factor that could have been causing the bike to be wobbly but there aren't any. Swing arm, chain adjustment, pressures and everything else seems fine. Might have to get rid of these, in favour of MRF Zappers or ones from Michelin.

I have installed michellin city sport tubeless tyre in my brothers super splendor. Grip is superb, very good tyre.

I was recommended by a close friend to go with siracs. For both front and rear. Those are tube models and although I had a wrong notion about the type of tread that give grip, I went to the local market and asked for it. I was quoted a combined price of Rs 2310 for both tyres. I even test rode a Honda Livo, that the shop owner had on Michelin tyres. Even with hard braking using the front disc, the entire bike had really excellent grip, even on dusty road. I'm gonna buy it next week when I service my bike to replace the chain, sprocket, clutch bell and engine oil.
