    Hi guys,

Dear bikers, I need some advice about 150/60/R17 tires (KTM). If i put it in Yamaha FZ25, would it be good or not? Would it affect in its Performance?
    Eagerly waiting for your Replies.

    Thank you.

It will affect. Acceleration will reduce. Instead get better 140/70 tyres.

It depends on why you need to change. The KTM 200s use MRF tyres and the KTM 390s use Metezlers. Which one do you mean?? If you use Metzelers, it will improve grip at the cost of acceleration (won't be noticable much though). You'll get better braking and high speed stability. The MRFs won't be much of an upgrade except for the size.

I think foremost, you should tell us why do you want to change the tyre? And which tyre do you have stock on you bike?

Upsizing might seem like a good idea but please consider that if you simply want more grip, it's better to get a soft compound tyre in the same size.

Still if you upsize, it changes the profile of the tyre, because the wheel is meant forward a smaller tyre. The tyre becomes more rounded, contact patch is less, inevitably grip becomes less.

My thoughts exactly. I don't get why people are obsessed with tyre upsizing. Most don't get the rims, mudguard and swingarm are designed to take a particular tyre size.

Upsizing to one size must be okay though. But some people upgrade from 90/90 to 110/70 or from 130/70 to 150/60. It will result in reduced grip and reduced cornering potential.
