Yes, i have.. got a Apollo tyre for my Dio. The manufacturing date was less than 6 months.Originally posted by xaypatil View PostI am planning to buy new tires for my Pulsar ns200 from Amazon., I have seen that Amazon send Tyres with old manufacturing date. You could ask the seller a question to clarify the date.
There is no hard and fast rule that 'tires on amazon are old/new' -- it all depends on the seller/stock.. so ask the seller a question and see what they say. Amazon is just a platform for sellers.
Why don't you buy tyres locally.. the prices usually will be almost the same, unless you are looking for something specific which isn't easily available in the marketLast edited by s1d; 12-14-2018, 06:51 PM.

I bought a front tyre for my Karizma ZMR from Amazon. After a lot of consideration, I bought MRF Zapper Kurve F 90/90 R18 tyre, which is a stock OEM tyre for bajaj V15.
My order was fulfilled by the seller "GUPTA TYRES". They didn't put a single plastic or carton packaging on the tyre! I received a bare naked tyre with the invoice taped on it. I didn't raise an objection because I coudn't find any damage marks on the tyre but this isn't a good practise, amazon should at least pack it in some kind of packaging to assure the buyer that it wasn't tampered or damaged in transit.
PLEASE NOTE THAT tyre quality and manufacturing date depends on the seller. In my case, the seller sent a fresh tyre which was manufactured less than 4 months ago. I read a lot of reviews (particularly imported tyres like Pirelli etc) stating that the delivered tyres were too old, manufactured 3-6 years ago!
Hence, I would suggest fellow riders to buy tyres from amazon only after reading the reviews carefully and noting the seller ratings, also make sure that returns are acceptable on that particular tyre (in case you receive an old or damaged tyre).
