• Rear tyre for Duke 390

Hello xBhpians.
The OE rear Metzeler lasted 11k kms and the current 140/70-R17 Pirelli Diablo Rosso is almost gone in 9k kms.
Which will be the best tyre for the KATOOM balancing cost, grip and life?

Apolo alpha h1, they have pretty good reviews and the set will cost you around 10k but they have more life than metzelers. Give them a search
Peace

I’m running metzeller sportec street 150/60-R17 on my R3, it’s a direct competitor to the Michelin pilot street, around same mileage of 23-25k kms, priced way lower, in my city dealers had quoted ₹12k for Michelin and I got the Metz for ₹8.5k per set, front and rear.

Perfect in the dry,on broken roads and slush-not so good on a wet highway.
A great bargain -half the price of a Metzeler(3200 vs 6000) with 1.5 times the expected road life.
Full marks from my side-go for it jabirahmed

What was the manufacturing year for the Metzelers?

What was the year of manufacture? And what sort of leans can you achieve?
The OE Metzeler Sportec M5 inspired a lot of confidence in doing whatever on a dry tarmac, I wonder if the Michelin Pilot is just as good if not better?

Pilot Street is below Sportec M5, you can get upto 70% of leans compared to M5's. If you go to Michelin it'll be a downgrade. Only recommended if you have less money for tyre and want it to last till 20000kms
