Hi all,
Think this is the right place to clarify some local information

Anyway, I will be riding to Bangalore from Chennai this saturday making it my first ever TN-KA ride on a motorbike. So obviously, I am a bit confused about things.

From what I gathered, I should be carrying all my documents in original (That said, can I just take photocopies? I am a bit scared of taking the originals with me). In addition this, I am also planning to carry all the bills from Fuel stations en route. So in case I am harassed for the lack of NOC, I can show them these bills and claim I am touring and will not be staying permanently in the state.

The thing is, are traffic constables in Bangalore money-looting folks when they see a TN number plate? If thats the case I will take public transport during my stay in the city (Just 2 days)... Any stories/tips? Since I am riding to an urban area in another state, I am a bit worried. I don't want to get harassed by the cops in an unknown language. If I were driving to a rural setting, its a different story altogther.

P.S: I will be staying near BTM. Would be great to meet fellow xbhpians from the Garden City

Its not so bad.

have your originals with you for sure but in a safe place.

Have a easy access to the Xerox copies. In all probability you wont even be stopped to check these.

And once you are in the city dont bother too much , the situation is much better now. For a added safety just carry a fuel bill of which you have filled up in chennai before you rode over. you will be fine ! enjoy your stay !

I will be most likely be riding to Bangalore this weekend and I'd be great if someone can tell me where in the city I can find LS2 visors (clear ones). I have that grey-dragon helmet which is fairly popular.

Any recommendations? I will be hanging around IISc area-BTM area for the weekend.

If time permits I'd love to meet a few folks for Coffee or Chai.

Your best bet is JC Road or Shivajinagar, if you aren't sure of any particular shop.

The JC road or the Rajaji Nagar area is the place to go for all parts motorbikes. I got my earlier one from JC road.
