The 2011 Bike Launch speculation Thread

[Vaibhav Saigal]

I wish you had been riding a Pulsar 220F at that time and keep track of him while greeting him "Hunto"

Anyway, the number plate is a UP registration,it is definitely the Yamaha's factory bike, their factory is located in UP only.......not meant for public, that bike.

if i ws on a bike i udn't have ben able to click the pictures......
ya the factory is located nearby only

[RhythmRana99]

i think its a trick of company to make a hipe all over of new bike thats why they are roaming on roads like this...
and what a co-incidence the guy always gets the chance to take spy pics. i wonder vaibhav must be an yamaha guy itself to make bike popular

[Vaibhav Saigal]

that means i'll become more popular and my mail will get flooded with r15 enquiries once again..........

[xionite]

Not!....me too thinks so..:/... it def needs improvement. The curves on the rear section is good..but the lights look kinda cheap..

if the quality of the light is your only gripe...
u need to take into consideration that it's a cellphone pic.

pretty R6 inspired.

1. yes he was.
2. i guess that wasn't the right time to switch on he stop watch.
3. wasn't equiped well enough to calculate that.
4. i was driving an m800. i guess that answers the next question as well.

wasn't askin for exact figures bud. just a rough estimate.

coz.. if like you said...
"he pulled away from 120kmph and was gone within seconds"...
that might be an indicator of how powerful the bike is.

@all: what RPM does the current R15 do 120kmph at???

.

.

in that case.......... i guess he was out of sight in 15-20 seconds.....

[xionite]

haha... thanks.

that's a pretty slow roll-on from 120kmph for an allegedly "22-24bhp" bike.
(according to BS motoring)

Oops I figured you would have pillion.

Umm 22-24bhp bike does not have to roll like 100+ bhp bikes, does it ????.......whoosh in moments ,beyond horizon out of sights

A 800cc car traveling at 120 kmph being left behind while the bike vanishes in a matter of seconds beyond the line of sight, sounds okay for 21-22bhp bikes. The car would not have felt the standstill speed then, as it is already going 120kmph, but a man standing on the road would have said something different.

i like to ride alone........

i don't recall the RPM at which the R15 does 120kmph at.

based on pic 1 of 3 that he posted. the "horizon" doesn't look more than 200 metres away.

but if the guy took 15-20 seconds to disappear (like vaibhav said)...

the current stock R15 would take more or less the same time to pull away from a 100-120kmph M800.

anyway... this is just me eager to know what yamaha's upto
with what looks like a sure shot winner. redux.

but a man standing on the road would have said something different.

maybe we should ask him to wait on foot for his next sighting.

that'll help clear things up.

[MACH50]

i like to ride alone........

In that case you really have to be crazy while clicking a picture at that speed on a motorcycle. We sometimes see such brave persons on Youtube videos

The famous person you are reporting scoops,I also kept the possibility that you might be one of those daredevil tribes

Yes, the car assured that you click those pictures in comfort but never gave you the chance of ascertaining the rumored bike's performance

[MACH50]

maybe we should ask him to wait on foot for his next sighting.

Was the guy doing running in on the new R15 bike then ????

Well, why he(Vaibhav) has to be on foot, he can use a Pulsar 220F for the kicks next time, relative performance judgment would be more valuable. We have already seen the picture no need of that.

based on pic 1 of 3 that he posted. the "horizon" doesn't look more than 200 metres away.

Ya I meant that only, I have seen 21 bhp bikes taking that time for that distance while I am going 120 kmph on mine.Atleast I do not lose track of them given the nature of Indian roads. The bike is actually moving at 25 kmph faster than me at that speed, it will seem like a bicycle is moving towards the horizon 200mts(is it ??) away.
