That is one long impending step which TVS should have taken a year ago.

Victor has a huge brand recall and the bike sales lowered when TVS shifted its focus towards Star and the then-Centra(which flopped big time).

Can't agree with you more on that.

Flame's 3V block in high probability will find its way into the modern Victor and may be we can expect a 135cc and a 150cc option like the Discover. Now that would provide TVS a huge base to grow more volumes.

That simple 2 valve, 110 cc star engine (originally from the Victor itself) is good enough. Why get gimmicy when it doesn't give back results. The 3V, single spark Flame that I once rode was simply bad.

There is nothing wrong with the 110 cc Star City engine.. its just that the Victor brand used to have a strong (er) appeal than the Star brand. I just hope that it is not a couple of years late for TVS.

the entire pulsar range or just the 220? and what is your source? engine wise, i think a sixth gear is more applicable as of now at the minimum...

Nops, TVS is currently testing the 180 with the LC along with a 3v/4V head.

I really dont know why they are focussing on the 180 instead of expanding the lineup.

I am loving my 180 to the core,but
was sad after reading this news.
TVS should/might launch a more powerful version of the RTR with LC,coz they have already refreshed the 180 with the ABS.
And if they were to launch 180 with LC they might have done with the ABS.

i believe all apaches are upgradable.. i mean if you visit the service center and ask them to install abs on your ride and pay them the required, they will... same goes for LC i guess in case they do launch something on those terms... so upgrade it man...

Hi raneet,ABS cannot be installed om the non abs version of the apache.And even if they launch 180 with LC,it surely gonna cost 5k-8k more.I strongly feel they are going to launch 220/250cc apache.

but recently a friend of mine bought an Apache 180, he inquired at the showroom and they said they can fix the ABS... it's something he told me so i'm not much sure... what reasons do you think might hinder?

i have a RTR180 but do not know what is LC.there are confusing posts.somebody writing ABS could be fitted in old RTRS too and others are writing,it is not possible.can anybody will give clear view about it.

lc is liquid cooling. Abs is antiskid braking system. I can't confirm whether the one that tvs provides it can be fitted to the nonabs batch or not, it's just a friend owning one who told me that the showroom said they can. That is why i asked what might be possibly the reasons why we the older rtrs cant be upgraded. And moreover there's also mechanical abs available from "safe ride" which i heard is also good. Even if it's not as effective as the normal abs, something is better than nothing right?
