Hey guys i guess its not yet confirmed i just sent a mail to Yamaha INDIA and this was their reply,

waiting for its India launch.... its high time it should be given a face lift...

i dont think the Office is allowed give out such info's when there hasn't been any sort of official announcements.
by the looks of it YAMAHA doesn't look sure about the upgrade.

In this way u can never buy a bike. Its never ending process. Every yr, new models will be launched and u have to repent every year on ur decision. What u like today, go for it.

You wait for a bike to be launched, after some months, it is launched n u get it then u get the news that in 5-6 months, a new better bike is goin to be launched and so and so and so.... what will u buy?

Its continuous refinement process, better product over a precious. So what u like today, go n enjoy the ride.

Newer and more powerful bikes will keep coming every couple of years, there is no end to that. Blindly waiting for the most powerful bike one's budget can buy is just going to be a never ending process. Its more important to reflect on exactly what we want from a bike, which aspects of a bike are more important and what compromises we can make..because no bike is perfect and there is never going to be one.

Both of you gentlemen have totally misunderstood my post.. I was advising dushyant123 about his purchase because he was in a doubt over his decision for the 220.. Imagine a new 4 valve 220 being launched months after you buy the current 2 valve 220.. Not only will it disappoint you, but you'll also come to a sad realization that your bike's resale value has gone down to around 10-15k more than earlier for no fault of yours.. If you don't understand what I'm on about, ask someone who bought the last batch of Avenger 200s how he feels now..

My point is not to wait INDEFINITELY, as misinterpreted by you guys.. Its just for the P220 at the moment.. Wait till April 1st week and if no launches, then go ahead and buy one.. Or if you're the kinda guy who'll stick on to one set of wheels for half a decade, then no problem.. GO ahead and buy it because it'll make near as no difference five years down the line..

This is a RENDERING of some artist using Adobe Photo Shop.. Its not the official image.. Its already been put up in another seperate thread and that has been in "lock down" for quite sometime now.. Kindly requesting all members to refrain from discussing on this R15 at the moment till we receive some concrete information from a reliable source..

Correct !!!

Hence I am speculating that a new R15 which is going to be costly,may just have a 250cc engine in it.

Also to kick matters up a notch,R15 would be facelifted,R125 introduced and new SZ gets bigger engine.............anything would be possible.

Most speculations in this age turns out to be reality as company derives idea of biking populace from them.

well i went to a yamaha showsoom to buy an FZs for my brother...
there i asked questions about it...i knew the manager well because of regular visits for servicin n i bought my r15 from there too...he was like suddnly agitated by the question and replied dat we don't know anything n stuff...

but the service representative told me that authorities will not tel u but we thing something new is coming our way....but will be coming after HONDA launches something(he din't know much about CBR)...he also hinted of a R15 like looking bike which would be cheaper....(my guess was but off course the R125 when he said so)

That all the proof needed that something new coming up. Though I would be more conservative in my speculation that new R15 will more cosmetic considering the tail of current bike is from 80's era, and a little bit of minor changes on the same mill.

On the other hand,CB1000R came first,then the Twister,when people liked the design,then came Dazzler

Honda went the other way round.

Atleast for Yamaha it would be straight on,R1-R15-R110 !!!

Anyway,there are films,funny,action,horror,drama and romantic.......but none of them are real,so does our speculations
