So Yamaha at it again!!

My inference from the testing being conducted since as early as Dec-10 is that there would be a considerable change in the specs. A bigger bore would top that list.
If it all Yamaha launch the bike with the same 150cc mill, I would say they are losing the plot. C'mon, 8 months of testing for just a bump in bhp is unacceptable.

Also, looking at the latest pic, the new tail looks too big for the bike. Infact, it is starting to look ugly to me (with respect to proportion).

yup.....i'm also thinking the same way....just a power upgrade doesn't need 8 months test run..... so its gonna be a new mill....if its a 200cc engine, then price could be on the higher side for sure............

That would be twin cylinders,based on the current model...150cc+150cc...

Lol,good one! but if Yamaha announces a 250cc right now, I dont think Honda and Kawasaki will be able to do anything.If its a R250, it will totally rule the market IMO.

I doubt if it will be a 250cc although I would be the happiest if I am proved wrong. For a 250cc, it appears to be a little small compared to CBR and Ninja.

the new R-series is not gonna be above 200cc...because its a small bike....a 250cc bike should not be of this size....

That looks kinda like the spy pic(the tire huggers & the rear ) but bigger. But even i dont think its the 250 thats going to come soon. Though it would be nice to see the 250cc beast as well!

A bit of removal of the fairing and a longer silencer and we have the one in our spy pics!

But a 250 one is of high probability given the time they are taking for testing. That is if the time since the first spy pics were released and they are testing.

ABS, projectors, 250 cc, 22 PS perfect I 'd say! The final nail to CBR's coffin that would be!

At the end of the day, this is all a publicity stunt from Yamaha. They just want us to keep talking. And just when we move onto some other bikes, they quickly get the bike back on the road so as to fuel the fire!BRILLIANT IDEA!!!

a Yammi's 250cc got only 22ps....never.........

When Yamaha does indeed come out with a 250cc, am guessing somewhere around 28 or 30 PS with absolutely unbelievable handling!
